01If you cancel
Cancel any time from your booking page. Your refund depends on how many days remain before the event start time (IST):
| Notice | Refund |
|---|---|
| 30+ days before the event | Full refund of everything paid. |
| 14–29 days before | 50% of the deposit is refunded; any balance paid is refunded in full. |
| Under 14 days | Deposit is non-refundable; it compensates the artist for the held date. |
Example. On a ₹1,23,900 booking with a ₹37,200 deposit (amounts before any payment-gateway charges):
- Cancelling 45 days before, having paid only the deposit: refund of ₹37,200. Having paid in full: ₹1,23,900.
- Cancelling 20 days before, having paid only the deposit: refund of ₹18,600. Having paid in full: ₹1,05,300.
- Cancelling 7 days before, having paid only the deposit: refund of ₹0. Having paid in full: ₹86,700.
Requests that were never accepted, and holds that expired unpaid, cost nothing to cancel.
02If the artist cancels
If an artist cancels a confirmed booking for any reason other than force majeure, you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the platform fee. Our team will also help you find a replacement who is free on your date; you're under no obligation to accept one.
Artists who cancel confirmed bookings without good reason may have their profile suspended. Repeated late cancellations lead to removal.
If an artist fails to arrive, or the performance materially differs from what was booked (for example, a shorter set or fewer performers), report it within 48 hours of the event. We'll investigate before the artist is paid out, and may refund part or all of the booking.
03Force majeure
Some things are nobody's fault: severe weather warnings issued by the IMD, government orders or restrictions on gatherings, civil unrest, natural disasters, or a serious documented illness or bereavement affecting the host's immediate family or the performing artist.
In these cases we first try to reschedule at no cost. If a reschedule isn't possible within 12 months, you receive a refund of all amounts paid minus the platform fee and payment-gateway charges, and the artist does not receive a cancellation payment.
Rain alone is not force majeure for an outdoor event. Please plan a covered backup space — your artist can advise on what they need.
04Reschedules
Ask your artist in the booking thread and let our support team know. If the artist is free on the new date:
- One reschedule requested 30+ days before the original date is free; your payments move across.
- Later reschedules are at the artist's discretion and may require a new deposit if the price changes (for example, a peak-season date).
- If the artist can't do any date that works, the cancellation terms above apply from the date you first asked.
05Refund timelines
Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Razorpay. We initiate them within 2 business days of a cancellation being confirmed. Your bank or card issuer typically takes a further 5–7 business days to show the credit; UPI refunds are often faster.
Payment-gateway charges (usually around 2%) are deducted only where the table above says so. You'll see the refund amount and status on your booking page.
