About TAAL

Every great night has a rhythm.

Taal is the rhythmic cycle at the heart of Indian music — the structure that lets everything else soar. We're building that structure for live entertainment.

Why we exist

Booking music shouldn't feel like a gamble.

Ask anyone who's planned a wedding, an offsite or a fortieth birthday in India how they found the band. The answer is usually a forwarded number, a blurry video from someone else's sangeet, a price that changed twice, and a lot of hope.

Meanwhile, brilliant musicians — the jazz trio who reads a cocktail hour perfectly, the DJ who can take a room of three generations from Kishore to techno — lose weeks to enquiries that never had the right date or budget.

TAAL puts both sides on the same page: real calendars, real prices, real reviews, and a booking that means something once it's confirmed.

What we hold ourselves to

Four principles, in the order you feel them.

  1. 01Desire

    Make you want the night.

Music is a feeling before it's a line item. We lead with sound, footage and atmosphere so you can picture the room — then show the practical details.

  2. 02Discovery

Help you find the right one, not the loudest.

Filters built around how Indian events actually work: the sangeet versus the reception, a corporate dinner versus the after-party, a 40-person rooftop versus a 1,500-person lawn.

  3. 03Trust

Show what's true, even when it's inconvenient.

If a date is taken, we say so. If an artist is new and has no reviews, we say that too. Verified means we checked documents — not that someone paid us.

  4. 04Commitment

Make saying yes simple and safe.

One quote with every charge itemised. A deposit that actually locks the date. A written cancellation policy you can read before you pay.

Non-negotiables

What we will never do.

  • Fake reviews

Reviews only come from hosts whose booking was completed on TAAL. We moderate for personal data and abuse — not for star ratings.

  • Hidden fees

Platform fee, GST, travel and production are on the quote before you commit. The number you see is the number you pay.

  • Fake scarcity

No “3 people are viewing this” or invented countdowns. A hold timer only appears when a date is genuinely held for you.

  • Pay-to-rank in secret

Artists can pay for promoted placement. When they do, the card says “Promoted”. It never changes ratings or reviews.

  • Sell your data

We use your details to run your booking. We don't sell them to anyone.

Launch cities

Starting where the music lives.

We're launching with artists based in four cities. Most travel nationally, with travel shown as its own line on the quote.
